Thomas deepened the kiss as he ran his hand under her sweater. Her skin was heated to the touch. He pulled her closer; he wanted her more than he wanted his next breath. Slowly sliding his lips away from her mouth he laid kisses along the side of her face then made his way down her neck. She was his; she was his woman, and there was nothing anyone could do to change it.

He lifted her sweater as he kissed and nipped at her neck. God she smelled and felt so good in his arms. He was about to lift his head and pull her sweater over hers, when he heard both of their phones ring.

Amelda chuckled. "I would say ignore it."

"But, we have children."

She nodded as she placed both of her hands on his face and lifted it to hers. "If they’re calling at the same time, then it’s something important."

"If not, then they are so grounded!" Thomas growled. This trip was so he and Amelda could finally make love, and there was no way he was not going to let that happen.

Amelda winked at him. "I know." she reluctantly let go of Thomas and reached for their phones. She looked at them. There was a strange number on his and Lilly's name was flashing on hers. She handed Thomas his phone and slide the screen to 'answer' on hers.

"Mel?" Lilly questioned. She knew sometimes her Dad answered Mel's phone.

"Yes?" she said as she watched Thomas answer his phone and turn his back onto her. What was that about? Why would he do that? She was wearing his ring, had agreed to marry him. Why was he turning his back on her?

"Mel? Did you hear us?"

Amelda came back to the phone; she hadn’t heard a word her girls had said. "I am so sorry, girls. What's going on?"

Both girls chuckled. "Mom, could you ask Thomas to stop kissing you for a minute?" Olivia replied. When her Mom and Thomas were together neither seemed to pay that much attention to them.

Amelda smiled and wished her girls were not so perceptive. "He is not kissing me, ladies. Thank you very much." Now he was in the kitchen having a hushed conversation she didn't like. She would deal with that once she was done with her girls. "Where's your brother?"

"In Uncle Tony's room watching TV." Livi said. she knew her mother was having a nice time and she wouldn't have called if it wasn’t for the fact they had been invited to a party neither thought they would be invited to and both wanted to attend, which meant calling their Mom. ‘Their Mom’; it sounded so right to Livi. And, because calling their Dad wouldn’t work. He would say 'no' because there would be boys there, but at least their Mom would be calmer about the situation then their Dad would be.

"Ok. So what's with the call?"

"Well," Lilly started. Her Dad was not into letting her go to parties because he had a feeling that boys would be there and he wanted her to stay a little girl forever.
